Thoughts and Observations of Yu-Gi-Oh! Manga Series Masterpost

Since there is many posts of my analysis over the course of 5 years and 5 months, I think is around hundreds... I'm starting the process of organization, re-arrangement, reformulation of most posts...

ponybooks.gif

As I re-upload images to the currently image host I'm using in the missing Battle City Arc posts, DDM, then will be Duelist Kingdom and lastly the early which more episodic arcs, as I do this, I will keep post links, including updated ones, but only in this post, you will be able to tell when is new updates...The orders of the links of the posts will start from Memory World Arc and upwards, the new ones will always be above the previous posted links.
You might wonder why I'm troubling myself with this, it's because before I go into analysis of Transcend Game One Shot and Dark Side of Dimensions movie, I want my analysis of the manga to be polished first since my manga analysis posts will be constantly mentioned, specially the movie (so yeah, the Transcend Game and the movie Dark Side of Dimension is literally the expansion of the manga).

Thoughts&Observations | Mangá Vol.38 Part 4/4 (The End)

It feels a bit surreal this is the last one about my analysis of the manga series overall, I mean it is about 38 volumes and took me around 5 years and 5 months...

giphy.gif

So it feels pretty strange, it's the ending as well, expect long texts in some key points, even though I have reached the ending with this project, but is not completely over, since I have to rearrange the posts where it doesn't have the structure "Plot Summary and Key Points", the early Duelist Volumes and early Volumes and reupload panels that is not from my current image host that I frequently, but the early volumes will get the most changes since the early volumes are mostly episodic arcs, there will be one post and page dedicated to these updates.

Plot Summary:

After Yugi won the duel, he comes to his knees as more tears falls down his face and floor, Atem approaches him while he congratulates him for his victory and they have a very important conversation about how Yugi look up to Atem and what Atem learn from Yugi...
Atem prepares himself to leave to afterlife by saying his name to the door to afterworld, one of them calls to him and the gang (including Yugi) say their goodbye to him, when Atem leaves, in his afterlife, he is greeted by his loved ones from the time he was alive (who have went to afterlife first than him)...
After the door to afterworld closes, the shrine starts to collapse including Millennium Stone Slab and the Millennium Items, after they left the shrine safe and sound, it was starting to sink that Atem now has left the living world and thinking of what they saw before the door had closed and left the shrine, reflecting about the recent events as they look at the desert they were about to leave...

Key Points:

image.png image.png

I certainly don't censor Yugi for crying and I think is okay (I'll tell the reason why in the next key point), because the thing is, he wasn't really forced to do it, he could have chosen the easier route and selfishness by not accepting the challenge or not going with his duty at all, he could have. Remember when I mentioned before that the right thing to do is usually the hardest to do? This one was particularly very hard, but was the right thing to do by his own volition, it takes a very strong heart to accomplish what he did.
When Atem comes to congratulate him with a very gentle smile, I'm pretty sure Atem already remembers everything from before and after he died before the puzzle was solved, he must have seen Yugi growing up since Yugi was a baby (remember in previous post when he mentioned "you've grown partner!" might be hinted at that as well) and what he says in the the panel of the panels ensemble in the right...

"Stand up...The winner shouldn't be on his knees."

As Yugi tries to wipe his tears, Atem does have a point, I wouldn't say "it shouldn't" per say, he could still cry without being on his knees, a person can "look" or still stay dignified standing up crying, but the intention behind the beautifully drawn of Yugi crying was to potray how extremely hard it was for him, not really the duel but the decision into fulfilling his duty as a vessel of the pharaoh soul, what he had been holding up inside the bottle coming up since the moment he knew he couldn't avoid anymore the fact Atem was a soul of someone who died and had to leave one day...

Thoughts&Observations | Mangá Vol.38 Part 3/4 (Rite of the Duel: Yugi VS Atem)

The most important duel has finally come and this project is near the end of this last volume of the manga series, it's pretty exciting that I have gotten this far...even more I'm recovering my original pace of posts...
You could assume I put Yugi VS Atem at random, but it wasn't, in this duel I always feel Yugi being the protagonist of this duel, Atem is an obstacle Yugi has to surpass in order to accomplish his duty as pharaoh's host...which has a more "hero-ish" feel to it.

Plot Summary:

The rite of the duel starts, there is a lot of back and forth between them since they are on the same level trying to surpass each other and is also more clear the difference in their duelling styles, the witnesses comments their duel, some undecided who to root for, others feeling neutral about, others hoping for the best for both of them and noticing they are both going all out and understanding the reasons behind both players for going all out, the duel ends with Yugi winning the duel...

(wow, that's the smallest plot summary I ever wrote...😆)

Key Points:

image.png image.png

There is some interesting points in Atem's thoughts here 😮 and others not a fan of 😑...

"Partner...I thank you for taking on this challenge but I am a duelist!! No matter what the cost , I will put everything into defeating my opponent! That is my pride!"

I do like his first line of thought that he is grateful of Yugi taking on this challenge, a part of him deep down prefers the route to afterlife, happy he gets to duel against his partner which is a one of a kind chance and also moved that Yugi is taking seriously his duty and responsibility, the "but" following that he always gives his all to any opponent in front of him and is his pride (being one of his principles as a duelist would define this serious trait of him better than pride, honestly and more dramatically).

I won't quote Yugi for being similar thoughts when he was in a inner place to not see Atem building his deck, so I already approached that part, with one difference in Yugi self-talking that he has to be strong, but still bothers me the "other me" and the "never be free from my heart" as if he is immortal when it wouldn't be just that, Yugi knows this much, so is related more to his selfish wish while determined to do the right thing, so it's a mix of happy seeing Yugi being quite serious about his duty and duel while feeling determined to go all out.

image.png

Jounouchi and Honda being the ones in the gang (Jounouchi, Honda and Anzu) that best understand their situation by their expressions and struggle who to root for as Jounouchi comments:

"Oh man! I don't know who to root for...! If Yugi wins, the other yugi will leave us! If the other yugi wins, then nothing changes! we'll still be friends like always! But...but then Yugi will never stand alone!"

I like seeing Jounouchi understands and accepts the situation pretty well despite the struggles regarding the right thing to do, the attachments and also both being his friends, it's a tough call, but is curious that when it comes the right thing to do, he focuses on his worry about Yugi gaining his own independence and not always reliant on Atem, finally it irks me that Jounouchi is not even trying to call Atem by his name and instead "other yugi", it's just that to me there is no excuse anymore as passed 1 month for them to get used to...
I commend Anzu for trying to address Atem even in her thoughts by his name:

"Other Yugi...No...Atem...I want you to stay with us...I can't to see you go..."

Anzu was one of the most conscious at distinguishing (even to develop a crush on Atem) besides Yugi, Kaiba, Yami Bakura, Marik, and Ishizu that Yugi and Atem are two different people most clearly, that's why is least difficult for her than the gang (including Yugi) in addressing him by his name, even the readers and viewers of the anime thought as kinda obvious (that we didn't call as other yugi or other me but Yami Yugi), I find it very moving her growth of her friendship with Atem, it started from being her first crush to seeing him as a friend, a true friend while the little crush on him still there but starting to fade bit by bit.
Ishizu has a very neutral and understanding view about the rite of the duel:

"This trial will decide both their fates...because their two souls have always been joined in one heart...They are the only ones who can find the answer."

I like what she says here, from previous post we know what she thinks what is best for them since she always implied as such, but understands the bond shared between Yugi and Atem for sharing one body and wisely knows and has faith in them that they will find the answer what is best for both on their own and all of those who are witnessing and connected to Atem and Yugi.
I do like her so much, she is a very wise and mature independent woman who has such a deep understanding of life and death based on her experiences and staying faithful to her Egyptian culture and heritage.

Thoughts&Observations | Mangá Vol.38 Part 2/4 (Preparations for the Ceremonial Duel)

I'm still recovering a little from the trailers of E3 of Kingdom Hearts 3, I'm still on the hype train, only now it's starting to slow down, but it seems is gonna take awhile to stop 😁, but I'm starting to recover my original pace.

Even though this last volume is divided in 4 parts and going into the 2nd part, but is the final set up and build up of the most important duel in the series, so is kinda of a big deal, specially when it comes to character development and story wise, it makes sense being the very last one.

Plot Summary:

After Atem fading from the world of memory, he goes back to his host's body with a festive reception from the gang and his host, Yugi, they discuss about the events slightly separate...
One month later, the gang and Yugi's grandfather, Sugoroku, they are in Egypt after receiving a letter from the Ishtar family with a photo of a specific location and tell them to meet at the airport of Cairo city in Egypt, Marik and Rishid came a bit late to pick them up, it was initially supposed to go the other side of Nile River by plane but there was sandstorm, so they have to go aboard on a egyptian government ship from connections of Ishizu's work (since she has an important job position as Secretary General, Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities), as they cross the Nile River, they talk about the details of their journey in the quest of Atem recovering his memories and finding the true name of the pharaoh...the conversation goes to the reason why they are in Egypt, the reveal that Yugi and Atem has to duel each other as Rite of the Duel to not just for Atem go to afterlife...with these reveals there is some private conversation between Yugi and Jounouchi and him and Anzu before Yugi prepare himself for the duel...
Yugi, in his room to prepare his deck and himself for his last duty as the vessel of the pharaoh and being the one who solved the Millennium Puzzle, when he was finished, Atem came along and they have a brief conversation, then comes Atem's turn to prepare his deck and finished, the next day arrives with the gang waiting for Atem (and Yugi), they go to the shrine of the village of Kul Elna, all the millennium items (including the millennium puzzle) are put on the millennium stone slab by Atem, as he faces the stone slab and the door to the afterworld, the wadjet eye and the millennium items start to light up and behind Atem, there is two shadows reflected on the floor by the light of the wadjet eye...then Atem and Yugi separate themselves and go to opposite sides facing each other to start the Ceremonial Duel.

Key Points:

image.png image.png

Here is a strange thing going on in here, Yugi didn't pick up his millennium puzzle that was in suspension and Atem came back to Yugi's body without relying on it, so it is a bit weird, it's most likely their bond as vessel and spirit of the puzzle becoming stronger, if we remember when the gang and Atem reunited in the world of memory for the first time, Yugi wasn't with the puzzle (which means Yami Bakura had already removed the puzzle back then, in fact when the gang were still in the maze, Yugi wasn't with his puzzle, so we can assume was from since then, remember how both Atem and Yugi could talk to each other with both wearing the puzzle in Duelist Kingdom against Pegasus), but I wouldn't think they can stay for that long in one body, since he exist in Yugi through the millennium puzzle...Atem still remains the same order when addressing them...

Thoughts&Observations | Mangá Vol.38 Part 1/4 (Pharaoh Atem VS B!Priest Seto/Dark Akhenaden)

Wow, this project is finally on the last volume overall in Memory World Arc and the manga series, wow, literally the last.

122.gif

Even though is on the last volume, it will be divided in 4 posts (4 parts), both will be long, I'm still quite happy about it while still feeling overwhelmed by Kindom Hearts 3 Frozen and Pirates of the Carabean trailers that did come out recently from E3, specially the end fof the Frozen one being hard to swallow... a lot of mixed feelings today...even for this post, the beginning I will enjoy writting about it but in half way through not as much (yeah, I dislike Akhenaden that much).
I have good news, my pc is back to me with a window 10 OS, I have only one complaint...HHD they replaced with was 111GB and that's not good at all for someone who usually needs a lot of disk space, the lucky part is having an external disk, but even so I don't like the idea to rely on it too much, borrow to my friend often and all the things I need most in my pc is in a external disc. it bugs me a lot and all of the music is there too (someone hears music a lot and has around 85GB of music, it's more than half of my current HHD, 😐)

Plot Summary:

After Zorc being defeated by Horakhty, Atem is glad the battle is finally over and won but is saddened by the ones who died in the process with the efforts to end and win this battle, Horakhty and Atem discuss about what aided them to this victory, then Atem express his gratitude to his friends for their efforts and sucessfully achieving in helping him and find his name, the gang and Atem talks about how to address him from now on as his name is also known to them.
Pharaoh Atem asks priest Isis and Mana about who else is left and priest Isis reveals priest Seto and priest of Darkness Akhenaden are missing for she hasn't seen them for awhile, Atem thinking of where they might be and starts to search for them and tells his friends is time for them to leave the world of memory as they don't belong to the timeline and promised that he will go back to them soon...while he searches for the missing people from this battle...
Priest Seto is mourning over the death of Kisara and diving in his thoughts and feelings for her, Dark Akhenaden is shocked by Zorc's defeat and starts to think now is only left his son Seto being capable to defeat the pharaoh, as priest Seto is emotionally vulnerable and still refuses to be a "king of shadows", so Dark Akhenaden kills himself in order to take control of his son's mind to force him to be king, Pharaoh Atem arrives to the scene too late, he sees priest Seto acting very strange and suspects is Dark Akhenaden controling priest Seto as B!priest Seto/Akhenaden challenges Atem to a duel of Ka for the title of king, the fight is on B!priest Seto/Akhenaden favour as the White Dragon is more powerful than Black/Dark Magician, Pharaoh Atem tries to speak to the real priest Seto inside, priest Seto is slightly moved and shaken, the White Dragon chooses not to attack Atem, then Kisara enters priest Seto's psyche and in form of the White Dragon banishes Dark Akhenaden from priest Seto'a mind.
Priest Seto recently free from Dark Akhenaden regains consciousness of his surroundings, pharaoh Atem and priest Seto discuss about the situation, as Atem starts to disappear revealing his memories end in that very moment and asks priest Seto to take his position as pharaoh, at first priest Seto wasn't willing but seeing the pharaoh starting to fade, he accepts the offer and taking responsibility to restore the kingdom to it's former glory.

Key Points:

image.png

It's something to take note, for Atem this wasn't a happy victory, despite the relief of defeating Zorc and being able to prevent the world to be swallowed by darkness be it in his past sealing himself and Zorc or as this moment officially defeat Zorc, it doesn't change the grief it gives when seeing the wounds left by a war or battle (independently be for conquest, expanding territory, protecting the kingdom) for the the people who died in battle, but here is a interesting thought of his regarding Zorc:

"A demon born of the darkness in people's hearts...Zorc Necrophades has been defeated..."

It can be confirmed Atem didn't perceived Zorc as an evil god but a demon who claimed as such and came from the darkness of people's hearts, initially technically didn't start as such but only as parasite spirit who benefited in deriving his hosts darkness expense, who were technically human, by simpler words, I would guess that he understood the concept how Zorc functions as similar concept to a parasite.

image.png image.png

uuuh, what personal prounoun should I use for Horakhty, I think I'll use their and they (it can be considered a singular pronoun if people prefer to be referred as gender neutral or genderfluid sense), I think is sweet the god Horakhty speaking telepathically and softly being so moved by Atem's friends determination and also mentions those who died to protect him were all important, emphasising his friends being the true keys to victory...

Thoughts&Observations | Mangá Vol.37 Part 3/3 (The Pharaoh's Lost Name)

Woohoo! Third and last part of volume 6 of Memory World and penultimate volume of the manga series and what nice way to end this volume, the title holds the clue. 😏
The PC problem still little news in how is going to be (the technician will see if replacing with another hard disk will work...since then nothing...)...which is a shame because I wasn't able to do something for this post specifically, I may do it later when I get a chance, the E3 is coming up (this portable 2GB RAM can't read live streams well at all, too many interruptions), I hope I can see the ones I'm interested the most to watch somehow at least...but more importantly, I hope my PC problem is solved before the end of June, so it can be on time for the reformulation and reorganisations of the early posts.

Plot Summary:

Vizier Siamun sucessfully summoning Exodia, it does resist for a little awhile to be sliced in half by Zorc, then there is a conversation between Zorc and the pharaoh, which also reveals what Zorc is...
As the priests, Mana, the pharaoh and Hasan resisting to his attacks and when the pharaoh is last on his knees, a group flying are approaching, the gang is arriving to the rescue, when they arrive, they stand in front of Dark Yugi on a protective stance, for awhile the gang fight against Zorc and they resist well Zorc's powerful attacks but their own attacks against Zorc doesn't do much damage and as Hasan is almost being destroyed and almost fading while revealing the face behind the mask of someone very familiar saying the only way to defeat him is with the pharaoh lost name, the gang tells they have found it but is on hieroglyphs and they can't read it, Hasan hints that they just have to transcribe or find a way for the pharaoh to see it...following this advice, Anzu notices Dark Yugi was still holding the cartouche necklace she has given him and she asks the gang to think of the hieroglyphs holding the pharaoh's name with the cartouche...
The hieroglyphs holding the pharaoh's lost name were successfully transcribed to Dark Yugi's cartouche necklace, Dark Yugi proclaimed his true name with this through Yugi's deck, Dark Yugi is able to summon the three gods and fuse them into becoming "The Creator God of Light, Horakhty", who defeated Zorc Necrophades.

Key Points:

image.png

It's really saddening and kinda touching that Dark Yugi did go run to Siamun, remember he did grow up with Siamun look over him when he was still a prince, Dark Yugi must have seen him like a grandfather he never had a chance to bond with (when he was born, his father was already a pharaoh meaning his grandfather from his father side was already deceased), but I still hold a theory that Siamun was Dark Yugi's grandfather from his mother side, remember high ranked officials are usually members of the royal family or few generations behind in royal family and there are cases the pharaoh or the prince didn't knew, if we look at their eyes, they are quite similar the size and the pupils (the shape of his eye is definitely from his father, the facial shape is mixed with father and mother, and the nose from his mother).

Thoughts&Observations | Mangá Vol.37 Part 2/3 (Confrontation Between Father and Son)

It was difficult to come up for a title for this post, I'm not sure if I'm happy with the title I have given, since is about two important events that somehow differentiates from one another, yet connected.

Plot Summary:

After Yugi defeated Yami Bakura shadow spy successfully, there is some discussion about this between Yami Bakura and Dark Yugi, since Yugi and the gang are close in completing their quest, Yami Bakura desperately activates the third and last time he can use his special ability of controlling time and is "Natural Catastrophe", the gang starts to hurry up and determined in not leaving until they find Dark Yugi's true name... from their perspective looks like they might have not survived, Dark Yugi's fight keeps going against Yami Bakura as Pharaoh against Zorc, while this fight happens, Dark Akhenaden weakens priest Seto by attacking directly his spirit Ka and then kidnap his son...he teleports himself and priest Seto close to the palace, almost about to fall apart, priest Seto becomes worried about someone's safety, Kisara and goes to check on her and tries to get her to escape far away and confront Dark Akhenaden, priest Seto fights Dark Akhenaden to help Kisara escape, during their fight, they hold a important conversation and reveal, Dark Akhenaden attempts to force priest Seto into king (pharaoh) by giving him a god being the white dragon by killing Kisara and the other side of the fight, vizier Siamun summons Exodia with the Millennium Key from the already fallen priest Shada.

Key Points:

image.png image.png

After Yami Bakura shadow spy being defeated by Yugi, he disappeared but the Yami Bakura took a strong blow, we have to remember the shadow spy is still a piece of soul of Yami Bakura that has been "banished" to the shadows (it's similar to hocruxes in Harry Potter lore), so of course he takes a huge blow and affects him a lot, it seems to have been a piercing one and seem to hurt quite badly in the heart...

image.png image.png

As expected from Dark Yugi, he is good at catching changes of expressions and reading emotions of his opponents and enemies and quickly came to the right conclusion of his friends coming close to find his true name (he can do even of his friends, he knows the bit of a crush Anzu has on him, he could tell Yugi when he was being secretive that nowadays he already has good guess what Yugi is thinking about his situation as being pharaoh soul and Yugi himself as vessel, regarding priest Seto and the Ka-Hunt, he is very sharp).

Regarding Yami Bakura perspective on taking a strong blow for feeling a piece of his soul defeated by Yugi...

"I can't believe the shadow I sent into this world was defeated...! And by that mere vessel...!!"

Okay, this is getting me really annoyed with antagonists thinking because Yugi is the vessel of pharaoh soul, they think he is immediately inferior to Dark Yugi (except Otogi Ryuji), if he was truly inferior to Dark Yugi, then he wouldn't be able to solve and chosen by the millennium puzzle in the first place!! Obviously is on the same level and even a little bit better!! It makes me feel so angry for them not taking notice of something so obvious!!😡
Wow, Yami Bakura can be so arrogant too, by referring to Yugi as "mere vessel" who defeated his shadow, well if he wishes to go by that kind of conceited logic and as being Zorc himself, then the "mere vessel" defeated Yami Bakura's "mere shadow, mere piece of soul".😒

Thoughts&Observations | Mangá Vol.37 Part 1/3 (Yugi Mutou VS Yami Bakura Shadow)

I can't believe that this project is already on the penultimate volume...I'm so close to finishing!

131093635288.gif
(yeah, I like My Little Pony:Friendship is Magic 😎)

What makes it even more unbelievable is this project has around 5 years and 4 months and 8 days with 1 year of hiatus to be precise to this day, it certainly gets me more motivated to finish this, but still too soon to celebrate xD.
Regarding this post itself, as mentioned in the title, volume 6 of Memory World Arc (the penultimate volume of the manga series) will be divided in 3 posts (3 parts) and what a cool way to start with such an important duel to show Yugi's growing maturity and development against the main antagonist shadow, then the next and last duel being the most important of the series and is in the last volume.

Plot Summary:

Hasan informing about the former king last will to Dark Yugi and comes a conversation between Zorc, Hasan, Dark Akhenaden and Dark Yugi...
After the rest of the gang finishing the labyrinth, they enter the next chamber with a bridge to pass through to the other side and on the other side is Yami Bakura shadow spy, Yami Bakura shadow spy challenges them that the only way to pass through is to defeat him in a duel, Yugi accepts the challenge as responsibility of being the host of the pharaoh soul in seeking pharaoh's lost name.
The duel starts with Yami Bakura shadow spy mistakenly underestimating Yugi's skills (like most antoganists and "potential rivals" do 😫 with the exception of Otogi Ryuji 😉), Yugi quickly takes the lead, Yami Bakura shadow spy seeing that he has to step up his game, he makes a very creative terrible combo that introduces a new element in the gameplay of Magic and Wizards/Duel Monsters that we see in the spin-offs (from GX and onward), making it very difficult for Yugi to turn the tables but in the end he will finish with a quick combo to victory in the duel.

Key Points:

image.png image.png

About why and how the former king made it happen for a spirit to come to the pharaoh's help when he needed and the spirit who calls himself as Hasan reveals the former king last will:

"On his deathbed, the former pharaoh worried that the millennium items might bring disaster to this world...He gave his soul to seal a spirit into a stone tablet...the one you call the tablet of the pharaoh's memories!"

In the post about the birth of the millennium items, he did had a bad feeling about the millennium items for attracting men after the millennium tome they hold, then few years later confronted by Mahado if he knew about the cost and learning about it, so many disappointments and hards choices onward he had to do because he must have sensed that it would fall into his son, so he took priority despite everything to protect the kindgom and his son even for more 3000 thousand years when he was already dead, did he kinda predicted that Dark Yugi would seal his soul and name to seal Zorc? Did he thought much ahead? it's possible that he sought the priest of the millennium tauk for future advice regarding the kingdom and his son (since the time the former king was alive was the one wearing the pendant not Dark Yugi, so she could predict his future),  this might be when was implied about a prophecy that he would inherit the names and power of the egyptian gods came from, so he made preparations for it.
It must have crossed Dark Yugi's mind together with his recent recovery of his past from before to this point making the connections and he couldn't help but to be extremely moved by his father's love and care for his son and kingdom.

As for the spirit Hasan, he is still curious and mysterious character even in terms of lore, could Hasan be the former king's spirit Ka for him to seal in the tablet or someone who was willing to and follow him even in afterlife for the former pharaoh who give his life? it can be either these options...

Thoughts&Observations | Mangá Vol.36 Part 3/3 (The Betrayal of Akhenaden)

The last part of volume 5 of Memory World Arc, wow, next up will be volume 6, by the way, I might finish the manga series thoughts and observations by the end of June, then comes the reformulation and reorganization of some posts, however I will need my pc being fixed or a new one for the reformulation and reorganization to work (lot of photoshop and my mother's portable doesn't have enough RAM for it, it's just 2 GB and mine before it broken despite being a 3GB of RAM, the photoshop runs a little slow and can't read image resolutions higher than 5000px in photoshop, I need this problem solved before end of June).

Plot Summary:

The Shadow RPG continues, Akhenaden is successful in placing the missing items onto to the tablet of the millennium items and releases Zorc Necrophades and Zorc himself reveals Akhenaden was the creator of the millennium items and came back to complete the contract in performing the shadow alchemy of the creation of the millennium items, asks if he wishes for the dark powers that Zorc himself is willing to borrow him, Akhenaden admits and accepts the offer, then he becomes the high priest of darkness, there is lots of important discussion between Yami Bakura and Dark Yugi.
The gang while thinking of what to do, they take notice of Bobasa transforming as he reveals when all the millennnium items are placed in the millennium stone slab (let's call it this way to make simpler and shorter), his "other self" takes over and is revealed, the same masked man that helped Dark Yugi and introduces himself to the gang as Hasan...he now can give the clue where the pharaoh's lost name is and leaves to protect the pharaoh, Yugi guessed to be inside Dark Yugi's tomb in the Valley of the Kings and is where they're going and the gang on the way to Dark Yugi's royal tomb, Yugi reveals that they're not only inside the world of memory that became later a game world...
Hasan arrives in time to shield the pharaoh while revealing important intel about the gang and the former king, when the gang arrives at the pharaoh's tomb, when Yugi reaches the end of the moving statues labyrinth he sees a very familiar card that hints someone is awaiting for their arrival, Yami Bakura shadow spy...

Key Points:

image.png image.png

You can tell is a recent awareness for Dark Yugi for the world of memory becoming shadow rpg for even forgotten for awhile that time has stopped and Yami Bakura reminds him, there is also some rules for Dark Yugi that I find curious but also makes sense, the "imperial order" and he can use 5 times per game, if we think about how many times he might have used so far since the game started, I would say thrice (his two authorisations in strengthening the guards in the royal tombs for Mahado, the city for priest Seto and lastly choosing the final battle to be in village of Kul Elna), so now he probably would have two chances now to use...

Thoughts&Observations | Mangá Vol.36 Part 2/3 (The Shadow RPG)

Entering volume 5 Part 2 of Memory World, this one is much more eventful, there is some complicated and confusing scenes. so it will be a little tough to explain it, because for many might have been a little confusing, to me it was in my first re-reads...so bear with me with some long texts in some key points.

Plot Summary:

Yami Bakura shadow spy explaining the situation in general while the eventual final betrayal of priest Akhenaden is starting to happen, plus the time has stopped moving, meanwhile Yugi and the gang are finding strange that the citizens of the city are not moving while they themselves can move...Yugi realizes that the world of memory is merged with a game world as he looks up to the sky, then transitions to Dark Yugi and Yami Bakura facing each other in a tabletop Shadow RPG, there is discussion about the rules and update on the situation with Dark Yugi and the gang is in and so the rules of the Shadow RPG, finally Akhenaden proceeds to his betrayal and putting the missing items on the tablet of the millennium items...

Key Points:

image.png image.png

"«world of memory»? You mean...Bakura and Kalim are turning to sand...because this world isn't real?!"

Dark Yugi is being unexpectedly slow about this, it must be with so much going on inside his own memories and information absorbing that he is getting a little absent minded here, if is made of his subconscious memories, of course this dimension isn't real but the memories are, he isn't usually this slow at realizing things, but not that slow after Yami Bakura shadow spy making notice that the time has frozen, he does see that it really doesn't add up, if is a world made of memories, it would flow naturally without being interrupted and unchangeable plus the time wouldn't stop...

image.png image.png

To make it stranger that time is frozen, Dark Yugi can't move but Akhenaden, also seeing his reaction to this betrayal from Akhenaden...

"Akhenaden! What are you doing with the millennium items? It can't be...!"

He did suspected for his father not knowing about the cost that has been omitted to the former king, it must have been conspirators/traitors within, so in this moment is not just shocked at this moment of betrayal but also that he was the traitor from the creation of the millennium items while being quite hard to believe, is it possible that Dark Yugi by this time knew Akhenaden was his uncle? who knows...

Thoughts&Observations | Mangá Vol.36 Part 1/3 (The Death of the King of Thieves)

This project has reached finally volume 5 of Memory World and will be divided in 3 posts, starting the first, there isn't much going on except the growth display in Mahado/Black Magician, but he isn't the only one and lore small details...
As for my current situation is still the same...problems might be brewing for my side (more personal) :(, but I should be able to cope with it.

Plot Summary:

As the pharaoh/Dark Yugi restored his fighting spirit and motivation to keep fighting thanks to Mahado/Black Magician clarifying a few things to Dark Yugi in what he needed to know, thief Bakura and his Ka took a powerful blow from Black Magician...but thief Bakura gains advantage again by using the millennium pendant(puzzle) and summoning another Ka to protect the Tablet where the millennium items were forged...the priests arrive the underground shrine except Akhenaden, with the priests aid and Mana, who came along as well to help, the chances to defeat thief Bakura has increased...while Akhenaden slowly climb down the stairs, he sees more vivid images of the ghosts like corpses coming off the ground as if his trauma coming back to haunt him...

Thief Bakura is eventually defeated by the priests and Dark Yugi excelent teamwork, not without a sacrifice on the way to his defeat, priest Kalim did die...suddenly the ones who die strangely turning into sand and Yami Bakura shadow spy appears...

Key Points:

image.png image.png

Dark Yugi, have you forgotten?so why the surprise? he could do it before when he was fighting you last time and the priests...
What is strange at first is why thief Bakura relies on millennium pendant to summon a second Ka if he could use it with the millennium ring while his "main" Ka was active, but I think I know the answer, Thief Bakura's Diabond Ka absorbed the evil within the millennium ring and made him stronger, it was recent too to absorb all of it, it must have taken time (remember Mahado used for a long time his heka to seal away the evil within the millennium ring, so I suppose it would take time to absorb all of it), while the previous fight he already had his Main Ka active, so he used the millenium ring to summon a second Ka, so now thief Bakura depends on the millennium ring to keep the power boost on his main Ka, so he needs another millennium item to do so, it's not just using his own heka but the heka from the magical items as well, however to summon a Ka cost Ba, since he summoned a second one, he should have become considerably weaker, because it seems summon a second one cost more than the first summon, specially if is a strong one (the previous fight he summon Ka, it was a low-level one, so he wasn't easily tired but in this instance, he gets weaker a little easier because the one protecting the tablet must have a strong defense, so it would cost more Ba than a low-level Ka unlike he did last time...

image.png image.png

Priest Shada is trying really hard and becoming more dedicated, but you know, it was kinda worth it, he went through it, because it made him becoming more conscious of his job and position as a priest, even though he followed through the idea about Ka-hunt that he feels guilty and regret about it and even more hiding from the pharaoh, but he did with more pure intentions than priest Seto (priest Seto was loyalty mixed with thirst for power to protect the throne and the pharaoh), he is actually pure-hearted person mostly, but he like any other individual, he is also fallible.

Thoughts&Observations | Mangá Vol.35 Part 4/4 (The Village of Kul Elna)

Now on the last part of Memory World Volume 4, next up is volume 5, looking forward to...
I'm liking this pace I'm going with this project, well I have been trying hard to keep the pace despite the inconvenient situation, I will try my best to keep up...
I have bad news, the hard disk of my pc has broken :(, but the files necessary for this project until the end are saved :), I will continue writting the blog but in my mother's portable PC (I hate portables, I'm a desktop PC person for sure 😠) can be limiting and some small problems for the time being, I hope my pc is on repairable state...

Plot Summary:

Dark Yugi wakes up, while he regains consciousness, he sees in front of him a mysterious masked man, the masked shaped like the head of a sarcophagus with some millenium items marks over his body claiming he watches over all the memories, the pharaoh says he can walk and asks to wait while the mysterious masked man advises the pharaoh to rest since he is still gravely wounded and leaves, Dark Yugi tries to follow him and the entrance and sees is still night...when Dark Yugi decides to follow his advice and wonders how many days he has been unconscious and if the palace is safe, the day arrives after some rest, gets up and still has some difficulties to walk, when he arrives the entrance this time he spots priest Isis's spirit Ka, Spiria and in return spotted by priest Isis using Millenium Tauk with her Ka...
Priest Isis reports to have found the pharaoh and in result is reported to all the priests, most have similar reactions and only one with a very negative reaction that they have found the pharaoh is alive (I wonder who am referring to... 😒), as Priest Shada relieved the pharaoh is alive when meeting up with the pharaoh, he advises him to go back to the palace, however Dark Yugi worried about the citizens safety if the final battle be in the city and the palace so he decides to be in the village of Kul Elna where the guards have found out the thief Bakura's hideout recently...
The pharaoh and priest Shada reach the village of Kul Elna, they sense is a ghost town and can't help what happened to it to be in this state...the guards find a secret entrance underground taking to where thief Bakura is...one of them dies once he reached the hall of the hideout because of the ghosts while trying warn the pharaoh not to come down, the moment thief Bakura hears "pharaoh", he is surprised he survived the fall while at the same time delighted somehow...
When priest Shada and pharaoh arrive the underground, the ghosts start to attack them straight and more strongly but due to the priest Shada's and pharaoh's heka (magic power), they're more resistant but they still struggle withstanding their attacks, while they struggle, thief Bakura reveals the truth about the millenium items about how they were created while conveniently omitting the real culprit...and while Dark Yugi struggle to keep his faith in his father, Mahado shows up as whole spirit in form of Black Magician protecting the pharaoh, so there is a fight more equal ground about outsmarting each other...

Key Points:

image.png image.png

Before I start writing the following panels, the panels ensemble on the left is nighttime after the masked man advise Dark Yugi to rest since he was badly wounded and the one on the right is daylight...
Panel Ensemble Left....when Dark Yugi asks who is this masked man, he doesn't say his name but simply claims what his role is for the time being...someone who watches all memories, is it truly or is this particular memory merged with the other? And as his marks in his body suggests, he has a powerful connection to the millenium items and according to his claim, he might be related or is the person who created or prepared the world of memory for Dark Yugi... (If you have watched Dark Side of Dimensions, you get the connection straight away), by the way I think is really interesting to see Dark Yugi being so stubborn, despite not being in no conditions to walk properly...it's such a side to him we don't usually see.

Panel Ensemble on the left...Dark Yugi can't help but wonder who is the masked man but by this time he must be suspecting the masked man is connected to creation of the dimension of the world of memory, when Dark Yugi wonders how many days passed since thief Bakura took his millenium puzzle...I would say two or three days to be exact, but I think it was two, since he spent two nights inside this cavern, the night he fallen to the chasm and the night when masked man show up after he just woke up, I wonder how he got inside this cavern, if you go look at the panels when gives evidence the panel ensemble on the left is night time (It's right the moment after Dark Yugi wakes up and being the same night Kisara was brought to the underground), the cavern is on a hill path to the cavern...and inside the cavern to begin with, I think it's possible it might have been the masked man, since he was already badly wounded and almost dizzy before falling anyway, if he had truly fallen to the ground, he would be in worse state, but his wounds he must have hit somewhere before being saved, because look at his clothes and wounds before falling and here after, he gained new wounds and he is covered in dirt and is hurt almost everywhere, I would bet he still tried to hang in there a few times during the fall and roll over a few times and eventually got a concussion then losing conscioness when hit the ground (since he could have slow down the fall, trying to hold on cliffs and hills paths or similar) or by a stone as he tried to prevent himself reach the floor during the fall, I think he might have been saved just in the nick of time by the masked man or the masked man brought him to the cavern when found the pharaoh unconscious, but Dark Yugi understood the masked man is trying to help him.

Thoughts&Observations | Mangá Vol.35 Part 3/4 (Kisara, The Lady of the White Dragon)

Oh heck yeah, the time I started to write the draft, not at the time I wanted, because of some inconveniences -.-" (partially my fault being an absent minded person), I lost bit of motivation and inspiration to start it *sigh*, damn it, I hate when it happens...

The main focus in the post will be about YGO!lore and Kisara - The White Dragon...

Plot Summary:

The mysterious woman of the white dragon has just recovered and woke up, she is informed why she was in the hospital wing of the palace, the guard then escort her to the underground...while she doesn't arrive,  priest Seto and Akhenaden reaches the underground chamber escorted by a researcher in discovering how to evolve people's Ka and he shows the results and his conclusions in what makes someone's Ka stronger through the prisoners who survived a battle royale between life and death arena with suspension platforms with only abyss under them, priest Seto and Akhenaden are very impressed with the results of the research...
The mysterious woman arrives to the underground prison and priest Seto asks her name and she reveals she is called Kisara, the researcher wonders how is going to torture her to bring out her Ka, priest Seto becomes worried and starting to feel hesitant in bringing her to the suspension platform with the other prisoners and while revealing that she doesn't know about her Ka despite being so powerful that rival the gods, after feeling hesitant he finally agrees with the others in putting her in the suspension platform, the last two surviving from fighting against other 8 prisoners, Kisara not knowing how to summon her own Ka or can't bring it out, she doesn't fight, but priest Seto gets very worried for her life, so he comes after to see if he comes in time to save her, but the moment he reaches her, both of them almost fall, one hand of his holds Kisara's hand and his other hand holding a rope that was suspending the platform they were in and Kisara is unconscious with no signs of summoning the White Dragon...they are almost about to die, when the prisoners's Ka were about to attack, the White Dragon is summoned subconsciously by Kisara in order to shield them and then destroy the prisoners ka's, when priest Seto left the arena holding Kisara and they discuss about these events.

Key Points:

image.png image.png

This is the time we see her face properly, I think she is very beautiful, she has that mysterious beauty air around her that I like very much (yeah, I like her character design), it's impressive she has been recovering for 4 days since the day she was brought to the hospital wing, in her days of recovery, Pharaoh was gone on the third day, I believe...this hospital wing of the palace looks like more like a prison cell than a hospital and is called "Isolation Tower", the way she calls priest Seto as if making a memo of the person who saved her from those bullies coming from prejudice based on superstitions and her life...

Thoughts&Observations | Mangá Vol.35 Part 2/4 (The Birth of the Millenium Items)

Just like the title says, *o*, we're going through it's origins, I have been looking forward to this for quite some time.
By the way, the panels ensembles images from Battle City to Memory World are working fine.

Plot Summary:

When Dark Yugi fell into the abyss without knowing if he survived (of course, he did) and suddenly darkness fell into the world of memory...then follows priest Akhenaden remembering about events while unconscious...

These memories starts 15 years ago, Pharaoh Akhenamkhanen (for a change I got his name right without go read it, but then I did go check if I spelled right...) receiving reports from his guards informing foreign armies have crossed their land....with this dire news, he is wondering what he could do...then philosopher Akhenanden (there weren't priests back then) warns their enemies have 7 days until they reach the palace and that this invasion, there is ulterior motives behind it, they know they have the Millenium Tome and how powerful it is...the pharaoh states that even if they got it, even their country have been trying to translate it for a 100 years and philosopher Akhenaden reveals that the translation is completed, the form of magic described inside the tome is called shadow alchemy by changing worthless objects into precious metals and giving powers to their wielders... divided as "seven treasures".
Philosopher Akhenaden tells the pharaoh that himself and his three magicians are ready to make the shadow alchemy, he is more or less asking permission to make these seven treasures and the pharaoh asks how long will it take, philosopher Akhenaden says it would take 7 days, the pharaoh is considering the options and sensing it being such powerful magic could bring serious danger in the future...his vizier Siamun hurries him to make a decision, seeing his kingdom in this condition and options to protect it is greatly reduced, leaving only by die trying to protect the kingdom or to permit philosopher Akhenaden and his magicians to perform the shadow alchemy...so he chooses what will most likely it will protect the kingdom successfully at this time of need of quick decision...having faith in his brother, Akhenaden...
When philosopher Akhenaden is readying himself to leave the palace, he goes to say farewell to his son, Seto who was at this time still a child...when he leaves, the pharaoh Akhenamkhanen watching his brother leaving the city from the balcony with his wife holding his newborn son...

While philosopher Akhenaden is leaving the city, he is in his own thoughts thinking what is needed in order to perform and omitted a very important detail that if the pharaoh knew, he wouldn't have given permission, it was necessary 99 sacrifices to perform the shadow alchemy, the chosen sacrifices are the villagers of the village of thieves, Village of Kul Elna..., while the villagers were being killed and used as sacrifices, one villager child was watching all of this in hiding, thief Bakura when he was a child...It's also revealed that who creates and performs the shadow alchemy, and whoever gets to be the holder of the millenium eye and would grant one wish...
Seven days later, the invaders arrive and seeing the city empty and when they reach the palace, they see the pharaoh and 6 other people by his side, the royal court and they defeated the invaders.

When the memory end, priest Akhenaden recovers and is discussing about searching for the pharaoh and thief Bakura over the tablet putting the millenium puzzle in it's place while talking to himself...one of the guards informs secretly that the women with white dragon ka has awoken...

Key Points:
image.png image.png

The narrative in this scene is very interesting...

"When the pharaoh disappeared, the world of memory fell into shadow...meanwhile, another's memory...evil was awakening..."

1st underline: At first it would imply he died at that moment, probably when this chapter was first published in Japan, I can imagine the readers have felt a little nervous about where the story was going, however before this moment there was the many mentions of the final battle, which implies the pharaoh for this moment lost consciousness and since this world of memory is made of his subconscious, he lost it as well...it's possible Dark Yugi in this moment went through NDE (Near Death Experience) for longer hours than Jounouchi...when he was "alive" in this moment.

2nd underline: It's referring to the recent memory merged with Dark Yugi's memories, Dark Akhenaden, it's more or less from this point on, priest Akhenaden thinking of his son while getting introduced to his memories from long ago...

Thoughts&Observations | Mangá Vol.35 Part 1/4 (Reversal of Time to the True Course of Events)

I have been having a very nice pace lately, I hope I can keep this up.
I have reached volume 4 of Memory World Arc (vol.35 of the series overall), as you can notice by the title, it is divided in 4 parts, the first two will be quicker but the last two will be a bit longer because of the number of panels ensembles, but still an achievement, once I'm almost done, it will be 3 volumes to go...

Plot Summary:

Time is going backwards, thief Bakura goes back to life, Ra going back to the shrine of wedju, the gang gets separated from the Pharaoh, the time reverse stops when Dark Yugi and Slifer took a huge blow and becoming very weakened, the gang watching from afar that Slifer was down and defeated, while they're trying to run faster to help Dark Yugi but their path is blocked by Yami Bakura shadow spy....

Yami Bakura shadow spy to block them claims the only way to get through him, they have to defeat him first in a duel, Jounouchi is first to take on the challenge but in vain, while this happens, Dark Yugi tries to talk and ask to the thief Bakura to not kill the citizens...they are in a path of a hill, thief Bakura's Ka hits the path where the pharaoh and his horse is standing and they fall (Dark Yugi and his horse), Dark Yugi is able hold to the edge of the hill, thief Bakura takes the millenium puzzle and step on the pharaoh's hands, the pharaoh falls to the abyss and everything around them goes black...

Key Points:

image.png image.png

As the time starts reversing, Dark Akhenaden continues saying half lies, he lied in claiming he was zorc because he couldn't say he was Akhenaden after he made the contract with Zorc, I get this much, it still annoys me, his other half lies annoys me more, there is one in particular in what he says here:

"This world is made of memories, pharaoh! Yours and mine! It is the after-image of our souls trapped in the millenium puzzle!!"

He is half telling truth and lie (it was made of Dark Yugi's memories in the beginning, Dark Akhenaden merged was recent addition since he is connected to Dark Yugi's memories and priest Akhenaden in Dark Yugi's memories) and that he was also trapped in the millenium puzzle, he is in half truth saying what everyone knows, Dark Yugi sealed in the millenium puzzle and the lie part, that dark akhenaden claiming he is zorc, he is sealed in millenium puzzle, double lie, as in previous post I pointed out, he came from a different source due to his recent appearance (and zorc isn't sealed in the millenium puzzle, we already have the hint where and who is it truly Zorc Necrophades...*cough* Yami Bakura*cough*). but then again is just to serve as a distraction to Dark Yugi being busy in recovering his memories.

image.png image.png

For a change, he is actually telling the truth in this instance, even though is implied the world of memory is mixed Dark Akhenaden  (but is it really? or is Zorc memories merging with Dark Yugi? I think is more Zorc inclined, so is mostly true), since is recent, but there huge differences, the reasons why it makes Zorc or Dark Akhenaden not the ones being sealed in the millenium puzzle, but Dark Yugi, Yami Bakura shadow spy and dark akhenaden, they remember everything because they are mostly bystanders, while Dark Yugi is the one who doesn't remember everything but recovers only by each new event is unlocked, he can't remember what is ahead in each event putting Dark Yugi in this war of memory in a huge disadvantage, but Dark Akhenaden is right that they won't rest until they reach the last battle that took to their deaths, the only change allowed is at the last battle...

Thoughts&Observations | Mangá Vol.34 Part 3/3 (Memories Being Tampered)

We have reached the last part of this volume 3 of Memory World (Millenium World), we're getting closer to the end of this series, by the end of this month, it is very likely that I will start volume 4, however is divided in 4 parts, If I keep up the pace I have been making, I might finish it by the end of July or early August (I hope is the case because it would be preferable this way).
Battle City whole arc (except the prologue) and Memory World's image panels ensembles addresses has been updated.

Plot Summary:

Dark Yugi is very surprised seeing the gang (I refer to them as such, because it's easier), Yugi being pharaoh's host, he gives a bit of boost in Dark Yugi's Ba gauge to be capable of summoning Sun Dragon Ra and successfully defeats thief Bakura, Dark Yugi turns to his friends asking why and how did they get to where he is, their friends informs him about their mission...(the reason why they are in the world of memory).

With the success of thief Bakura defeat, something is starting to awaken inside the world of memory and priest Akhenaden...the darkness of priest Akhenaden starts to emerge in priest Akhenaden psyche, later revealed that is acquainted with Yami Bakura...then is revealed that Dark Yugi's memories have been tampered by Dark Yugi's friends and made an alteration of the true events in the past and the dark Akhenaden tells that he is about to take care of it...and he does by making the time world of memory going backwards...from which point we don't know...

Key Points:

image.jpg image.png

He is very surprised that they're in the world of memory...
This scene might be a bit confusing at first to explain to yourself and understand because of their lines, to see where it connects in their words, let's start with what Yugi says to Dark Yugi first:

"Half of your soul is still with me...!!"

It's a very strange and confusing affirmation at first, because how can someone's soul half be within someone, with Dark Yugi next thought, best way to start to explain this is the world of memory being a dimension inside the millenium puzzle, both sharing a body and mind through the millenium puzzle, because of their very close and special bond between spirit and host, plus if notice as Yugi said this and give his boost, the millenium puzzle of Dark Yugi as pharaoh started to shine...then Dark Yugi thinks:

"I can feel it...the presence of my partner...the other soul within me!!"

That's a way of phrasing meaning just as Yugi, within Dark Yugi/pharaoh soul there is the other half of Yugi's soul, due to their strong bond, as for the presence, why they didn't felt it before Yugi entered and started to enter the world of memory, the before was because it was impossible for them to sense each other since they were in different dimensions, Yugi in the physical world then inside the maze of the millenium puzzle, when Yugi entered, there was a long distance gap between where they were in the city and the palace and Dark Yugi was always inside the world of memory in the palace, only time he sensed, it was only a little when Yugi and the gang were at the entrance of the palace but not concrete enough to be sure, now here in this moment, they feel it much more easily each others presences, because they were usually side by side, in a way is the reverse, before it was Dark Yugi was the ghost and Yugi being the host, in this situation, their roles seem to have switched (but didn't really).

Problems you might have run into...

It's related to the panels ensembles...the ones from tinypic I know for quite some time (but I intended to do this by August when I have to reorganise from the early volumes to dungeon dice monsters), what I'm talking about is from the whole Battle City to the first 2 volumes of Memory World, there is problem in reading the images, because their addresses were changed in the image host website I uploaded, so I have to update one full story arc and the first two volume of story arc I'm in now, fortunately is just images, if was the text included, I would be crying...but is still going to be quite a pain.

the reasons why it happened, I don't blame the website, from what I can tell is related to political and judicial problems that we have been facing lately about the internet in recent years.

Thoughts&Observations | Mangá Vol.34 Part 2/3 (Riding Battle Between The Thief and The Pharaoh)

Tehehe, woohoo, 2nd part of the 3rd volume of Memory World, I like this phase a lot in Dark Yugi's character development, it's very nice, I look forward to reach my favourite moment in this part of the volume...

Plot Summary:

Dark Yugi riding in his horse summoning Slifer The Sky Dragon after thief Bakura with his Ka, leaving the palace with Ka riding battle starting...the gang at the entrance of the palace sleeping are awoken by the noise thief Bakura makes and see Dark Yugi leaving the palace riding on his horse, they recognise him straight away and they try to catch up to him...
While the Riding Battle is happening, it is a pretty fierce fight, since when they leave the palace, they are still in the city, because thief Bakura with his Ka can't defeat a God, so he uses a very low tactic to weaken the pharaoh by using his Ka to attack the citizens and Dark Yugi uses the God Slifer to shield the citizens from thief Bakura's Ka attack, this keeps going until they are on the outskirts of the city, from here are attempts to outsmart each other but because Dark Yugi is weakened for shielding his citizens, thief Bakura is at a bigger advantage even with the help of the priests that caught to them, they still struggle fighting against thief Bakura...when Dark Yugi feels he is about to lose this fight, his friends arrives...

Key Points:

image.png image.png

I love that panel of him riding the horse, it is from different perspective from the last post I mentioned, but is such a nicely drawn one, I have to mention, once again the horse really stands out to me...
This is when thief Bakura begins his smart tactic but still pretty low...thief Bakura has come up with something planned in this moment to defeat Dark Yugi by his thought:

"That's right, pharaoh...follow me to your doom!"

He says things as if he can see the future like what he said to priest Akhenaden...in this moment too...what could make it to be the case...I wonder...

Thoughts&Observations | Mangá Vol.34 Part 1/3 (The King of Thieves Strikes Again!)

I'm now entering the volume 3 of Memory World (Volume 34 in Japan), 4 volumes to go :3...
I'm quite glad, it's going smoothly, not as fast as I wish to, but still nice pace nonetheless, there is interesting details from certain panels I will bring up that I'm looking forward to.

Plot Summary:

This recent discovery of an extremely powerful Ka, because this mysterious woman is weakened from lack of nutrition and hydration (food and water) plus wounded, so he order the guards to take to the hospital wing of the palace and others to stay guarded at the city in case thief Bakura comes back, the priests go back to the palace now with priest Seto being very satisfied with the results of his "Ka-Hunt"...the priests come back to the palace and report to the pharaoh, but Dark Yugi still feels uneasy not for just about Kaiba's request, also about thief Bakura...the gang excited about the priests coming back to the palace, they follow the priests...

The gang can only reach the entrance of the palace, despite them being able to go through places like ghosts, however they can't do it with the palace for some reason...
As time passes, the night arrives and Yami Bakura "shadow spy" watches over the city floating in the air and then is watching thief Bakura eating in a bar, who attracted attention wearing and holding gold pieces, the men tries to gang up on him and thief Bakura releases his Ka to kill the men surrounding him...thief Bakura continues eating.

Priest Seto speaks to priest Akhenaden about his search for Ka was successful and discovery over a powerful Ka that rival the gods and could defeat thief Bakura's Ka and resides inside a woman, but her body is very weak so he is letting her resting and recover, so then he can take her Ka, when priest Seto leaves, priest Akhenaden is disturbed by priest Seto with a important revelation...
While priest Seto pays visit to the hospital wing to check the progress of the mysterious woman recovery, the shrine of wedju guarded by priest Akhenaden is invaded by thief Bakura, who didn't came to kill him but to give an offer...priest Akhenaden tries to defend himself but thief Bakura is quicker puts him in invisible binds against the wall, they have an important talk, takes priest Akhenaden's millenium eye and implements a part of him from the millenium ring in the millenium eye, then puts it back to where it was, leaving priest Akhenaden unconscious...
Dark Yugi reading ancient scrolls has a bad feeling of something terrible about to happen, the officers goes to the pharaoh to inform that of signs thief Bakura is around the city from the tavern where he was eating, Dark Yugi gets himself ready to follow him, the same for priest Seto from officers informing him thief Bakura was back and attacked priest Akhenaden leaving him severely injured and unconscious...the rally battle between Dark Yugi/pharaoh and thief Bakura is about to begin...

Key Points:

image.jpg image.png

Priest Seto is from shock to sinking in to very pleased that they found a Ka worthy to protect the kingdom and defeat thief Bakura, one of the guards speaks the urgency for the girl's recovery about her health and then another guard asks if they take her to the prison with the others, priest Seto authorise the guard request in taking her to the palace for medical treatment, at first it looks like is giving her this kind of treatment because of her Ka...but is it really or is just that? (if we look at her, just her glance we had from previous post, it's quite telling she has a pretty face...blue eyes as well, it has been told to draw people in).
Priest Seto tells his guards...

"No one is to speak of this to the pharaoh! We don't have the luxury to be as merciful and lenient as in the past."

Even though I don't agree with this method, he is not attacking or threatening, he is being forceful, he could be doing this in a more tactful manner, by explaining the situation and recruit those who would be willing to help defeat thief Bakura and that way would be more effective to find people with strong Ka, oh well, this is priest Seto with extreme methods tendencies and short-sighted...very similar to Kaiba, as long no one innocent is being harmed for the time being...
