New Yu-Gi-Oh! movie coming 23rd April 2016 - Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions

I know I'm late on this, but the main reason doing this is because we had more reveals in the new trailer about the movie, which makes me want to advance my manga analysis faster and bring the subject up.

I'll start with the teaser trailer first...

Just the "Story - Script - Character Design - Executive Producer" and then "Kazuki Takahashi", the first time I watched it felt like a punch in the face when I read these words, anything about this movie throws at you is canon, official, it follows the original story of the manga (it means Pegasus is already dead, he's not alive like in the anime version and spin offs series)...it follows through 6 months after the Ceremonial Duel...
I'm not over yet...
The Newest trailer, let's call it trailer 2...

To me this movie seems to be a bit scary, I'm excited but also nervous at the same time for various reasons, I trust Kazuki Takahashi, I'm almost sure will be a splendid movie for big fans of YGO like myself, who've read the manga specially, this is a big deal, anyone who is still catching up with the spin-off series, it will change a lot in YGO! history forward after the events of this movie, even the trailer says itself, it's an original story, the development, writting, design by Kazuki Takashi, the creator of the original story of Yu-Gi-Oh!

We all know Atemu/Atem is coming back, the question is how?
according to the trailers and  the plot synopsis:

"By completing the Millennium Puzzle, Yugi Muto awoke another personality inside himself, called “Yami Yugi”. Along with Seto Kaiba, the president of Kaiba Corporation, reigned as the pinnacle of Duelists, and their various friends and allies, both Yugis fought in many battles tied to the ancient past. Ultimately Yugi and Yami Yugi were forced to fight against one another, and in the end they bid farewell to one another as they walked their own separate paths… … …
Then, after their final Duel with Yami Yugi, Yugi and his friends returned to their normal lives.
But then a mysterious boy named “Aigami” appears before them.
As a series of cases of people disappearing happen one after another across the entire planet. And Kaiba single-mindedly searches for the Millennium Puzzle.
When all the pieces of the puzzle are reunited, the Duels shall begin again!"

We can assume and speculate, Kaiba because of recent mysterious events he searches for the Millenium Puzzle and seems Yugi completes the Millenium Puzzle, supposedly will bring him back and take over Yugi's body again and face this new threat, Kaiba and Yugi will duel against each other for the first time ever on-screen and Kaiba seems will have another rematch with Atem/Atemu. The question how Atem/Atemu comes back still stands, we all have seen for anyone who have watched episode 224 and the last chapter of the manga knows he did go to afterlife, so it's more complicated than it sounds, I don't think it's just completing the puzzle Millenium and is done.
I'm not sure according to the teaser and trailer 2 means, there were some analysis around the internet, tumblr specifically, in the teaser trailer and promotional images and some screenshots...

Final Thoughts&Opinions on Yu-Gi-Oh! GX

I have watched all the episodes YGO! GX, it was quite long journey I must say, but enjoyable.

Like I said, I still have to watch YGO Zexal and Arc-V to fully compare them in terms of quality, it could have been better, much better, I think season 3 was the best season for me, NAS could do better job, it could be better than season 3, but it didn't, as YGO series, I think is lacking consistency, wasted potential on characters development, the plot is some parts, specially last season makes it look YGO 5D's last season a bit better, which says a lot, since I'm still angry at NAS about it's last season regarding certain plot holes and certain negligence to certain characters(in GX is bigger because it has so many characters)...NAS writers you're not good at creating completed stories with consistency, at last season is where you usually fail and that gets on my nerves.

Yeah, I didn't like season 4, sure sometimes made me think a little, but the forceful focus on Judai Yuki is a big problem in the series, I understand he is the main character, BUT there is something called balance, you can't focus so much on his character while the others are always in the shadows and play as supporting characters in most episodes instead of secondary characters.

Favourites seasons:
1. Season 3
2. Season 2
3. Season 1
4. Season 4

Top 5 favourite characters:
1. Majoume Thunder
2. Marufuji Ryou
3. Edo Phoenix
4. Marufuji Sho
5. Yuki Judai

These characters had some deeper impression on me.

Thoughts&Observations | Mangá Vol.12-15 Part 3 (Dark Yugi&Jounouchi VS Meikyu Brothers)

Okay, I'll try a different textual structure about Thoughts&Observations of the manga, I write a summary of an event, in this post will be about the tag duel I mention in the title, then the highlights of the event I'm writing, lastly will be me bring up points which caught my attention, this one will be a little difficult to me at the end of the summary, I still have some hard time to understand (the aftermath of the duel, how Dark Yugi outsmart the Meikyu Brothers).

(Update | 21/08/2018: This one took some time, because there was so few key points..., it will happen the same in the next two key points).

Plot Summary:

The duel starts, Meikyu brothers start to summon Labyrinth Wall to create a labyrinth to change the field, how many steps a monster can take is according to their star levels, before one of the Meikyu ends his first turn, he explains other conditions to this duel, even if they win, they would have to chose one of the doors and forcing on a riddle, Jounouchi being naive, he thinks it's mimic one other riddle about a villager and traveller, Dark Yugi explains to him the difference between the riddle Jounouchi mentioned and the one done by Meikyu Brothers is different and suspicious, it's not by asking questions but get through the Meikyu Brothers labyrinth of words which trying to push to a dead end, it's a mind game.
The tag duel goes through a lot of trials to Jounouchi and Dark Yugi, but making it obvious how Jounouchi has grown, he does makes nice moves which I will highlight, Dark Yugi as usual he makes splendid moves where it showcases his capacity of thinking ahead of his opponent, he made 2 of my favourite combos of his, the Twins make interesting moves but summon 3 special summons that can only be revealed when all 3 are face-up but also our duelists takes their time to reach the end without some obstacles, when the twins finally complete the pieces, they summon 3 monsters, Sanga of the Thunder, Kazejin and Suijin, together making Gate Guardian, the process to defeat these 3 monsters is slow, they take down Suijin first to finish the other 2 since they're fused as well with Black Skull Dragon with a magic card Ryoku to power up the monster.
The duel ended but the mind game hasn't, I will have a hard time to explain this part, Meikyu Brothers keep fooling around to confuse the group, Dark Yugi is paying close attention to the twins, while the others are searching for a possible third door, while doing so, Ryou Bakura listen to the voice of the spirit of the Millenium Ring, Dark Bakura, it seems he was slowly reaching him, it did, so Ryou and Yami Bakura has a telepathic talk, also claiming being a thief, he persuades Ryou Bakura to take over to help his friends, the search ends (they had 5 minutes).
Here is the hard part, Dark Yugi saves them with some of his "mentalist" skills with some help from Yami Bakura distracting them, Dark Yugi was surprised by Ryou Bakura knowing it, he may pay closer attention to him after this event, once they get out, they find both door lead to the same path, Jounouchi is pissed at this, they finally reach the exit of the tunnel.
I'll end it here!
What a big plot summary -.-", I thought would be shorter than this...I even dismissed most details...good grief.

Key Points:

image.png image.png

"The Meikyu brothers...If we can't beat them, we'll be trapped in this dungeon until Pegasus decides to let us out...which could be never! Everyone's life rides on this match!"

Even in Dark Yugi's inner monologue from his past experiences with player killers that reveals he has gotten used to Pegasus low tactics in this tournament that he ends up having a rather cynical view, which might as well be true, that is to show this tournament was rigged from the beginning.
Jounouchi understandably being still a beginner, he feels a different pressure from Dark Yugi, he has to actively supporting and helping Dark Yugi who is a much more skilled player, he can't let himself be a burden or holding Dark Yugi's back with everyone at stake, he has no choice but to catch up to his moves with the rule if one player from a tag team is the first to lose his LP, the tag team loses the duel automatically...
I find it cool that the number of spaces that a monsters card can walk in labyrinth depends on the number of stars (in other words, the monster card LV), the twins makes the statement even if they win there is another riddle they have to solve in choosing one of the two doors..., both the title names would look too suspiciously obvious such Kyu being "the door of the palace" and Mei as "The door of deception".

Watching Yu-Gi-Oh! GX - (Episodes watched: 156)_Thoughts

As you can see from the title I watched 156 episodes, in other words, just finished season 3, soon to start season 4.
What thoughts remain and those changed? hmmm
Some thoughts still remain such YGO GX had a sloppy start, the story development in the first 2 seasons wasn't really good, just feels a bit forceful, specially the fillers, character development was fine though, like I said the strongest point were the characters and still is, but my main complain about the characters remains, too much focus on Judai, I really like the character, but is just a little bit unbalanced with the other characters.
Now let's focus on season 3, I must say the story development is really good, character development is good as well, except maybe for 4 characters whose wasn't as good as the rest, I mean Manjoume Thunder, Tyranno Kenzan, Tenjoin Asuka and her brother Tenjoin Fubuki, but since they were important for Judai Yuki character development, I'll let it slide, best characters development goes to Judai Yuki, Marufuji Shou (though he hadn't any duel, bummer, I really like his dueling style), Marufuji Ryou, Amon Garam, Austin O'Brien and Jim Crocodile.
Even though I get a bit annoyed with Judai having so much focus, I think his character development in season 3 was really interesting, it's not everytime we see the main character becoming a villain, though temporarily, but interesting nonetheless, we see a different contrast on Judai's character, I can even see some similarities with Atem and Yugi and it's closure of his character development in this season was good as well.
The introduction of new characters was good as well, from all the new characters introduced I liked were Johan Andersen, Yubel and Haou Judai (Supreme King Judai) - From Season 2 if interested was Edo Phoenix.
The duels in season 3 was fine, but my favourites were Marufuji Ryou Kaiser VS Yubel "Johan", Amon Garam VS Yubel "Johan" and finally Yubel/"Johan" VS Yuki Judai, basically Yubel duels =D.
I wouldn't say opinion on the series have changed much, but it has definitely evolved, which is kind of a good feeling some way, I'm enjoying the ride way more ;-), now if is the least or weakest of the YGO series, that I don't know yet, I have to finish YGO GX and Zexal (to me they're quite comparable in terms of quality, Arc-V seems close to the level of 5D's and DM).

Once I finish last season (Season 4), I will make maybe my Top 5 or 10 favourites characters of GX.

See ya Next Post!

Thoughts&Observations | Mangá Vol.12-15 Part 2 (Duelist Pride Part 2)

This entry, it won't be focusing on a duel so it may be smaller, it is in between the aftermath of JounouchiVS Kozuka and before the tag duel against the Meikyu Brothers.
It's focus will be about the "True Duelist" subject, not full on yet, it's just a reminder to pay attention, since is important to the main characters development, including secondary characters, their own interpretations, convictions, ideals and principles of what means to be a true duelist and being a constant topic being discussed between the characters.

Plot Summary:

After the duel, the gang discuss the result of Jounouchi winning on his own, Dark Yugi has his own interpretation, then have a talk with the ones who dragged about what means being duelist, as they leave, going through the way back from they come from so they can reach the exit, when they're in front of it, they see Bandit Keith and the others closing the entrance of the cave with a huge rock to block the entrance..., the gang are stuck in the cave, so they have to search another way out but as the millennium ring works for their way out with time finding themselves inside a maze, when they reach the exit of the maze, they enter into a room with a Battle Box Simulation in front of them, suddenly martial artists making a flashy "kun-fu" introduction being twins calling themselves as the Meikyu Brothers, they challenge Jounouchi and Dark Yugi with the condition in wager their star chips and play as a tag team, they both accept.

Key Points:

image.png image.png

These are some of the panels always caught my attention everytime I read them, it starts with little humour from Honda, even though his friends thinks were mostly luck, Dark Yugi even though doesn't speak up about, he thinks wasn't really luck, but the desperation to win, the concern for his burden being the true strength of a duelist, I do understand and agree it wasn't solely by luck and Jounouchi's burden played a part (Jounouchi's sister), but desperation to win, hmmm I'm not so sure about, I can see where it comes from, I can't help but have negative thoughts about "desperation to win", just the word "desperation" has already negative implications.
If someone's is "desperate to win" means generally to win at any cost, even if you have to trample over others or cheating or play dirty, I don't think it applies to every regular player/duelist, not even Jounouchi, I have already stated in the previous post, but I can add it was courage, guts and determination is what kept him going and fighting back, those are traits to describe Jounouchi and his strength of character.
There will be occasions when contradicts his view on the matter "desperation to win", it makes me wonder if was a mistranslation, I don't think it was, his actions in the future will prove it isn't a mistranslation, if was "determination to win" I would let it slide.

image.png image.png

Jounouchi calls Bandit Keith with following reactions of Dark Yugi surprised the latter mentioned prize hunter by Kaiba, Jounouchi explains he was dragged by the three duelists in front of them and forced to duel one of them, Jounouchi calls out to Bandit Keith to play fair next time.
I'm very amused about a word in specific, I don't know if is translation directly from japanese, or an editing choice is how Jounouchi explains being kidnapped by them as "shanghaied" and later I researched being a method of kidnapping around the time when people were kidnapped, tricked, drugged and intimidated to be forced to work as sailors from America, France, Britain to China in Shangai, interesting finding, I didn't knew "shanghaied" was a word, at first when I read it I thought it was gangsters movement (due to him being a former delinquent and gangster with Hirutani), it must be a used term for gangster moves, then found there was a history behind this word, interesting...

Thoughts&Observations | Mangá Vol.12-15 Part 1 (Jounouchi VS Ghost Kozuka)

I'm starting to advance on the manga Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist 4-7, this is basically on phase of elimination of participants right now to semi-finals.

(Update 12/08/2018: This time around what will be updated will be a plot summary, fixing errors and re-upload of images...)

Plot Summary:

Kaiba arrives to a different entrance other than the main gate, the guards were surprise seeing Kaiba arriving since they were in wonder if something happened to the pilot due to have not receiving any info and didn't respond even though it was still transmitting and working (they should have work on that that was obvious clues of Kaiba realising and was coming...idiots), Kaiba demands the guards to take him to Pegasus, then Pegasus's butler, Mr. Crocketts coming out of the door and receiving him politely to take inside while trying to small talk, Kaiba gets irritated and demands to give back Mokuba (rightfully so) but the butler insists in continuing his manipulation games if is to see to Pegasus directly, he would have to go through the main gate with star chips that fit in specialised lock, so Kaiba feels forced to go along with it...
A nightmare inside happening inside Jounouchi's psyche reflecting the disturbance of his loss against Kaiba and wakes up early than everyone, but since he isn't someone who likes to mope around, he wakes up everyone being around 9 a.m., they wonder about Mai, Anzu informs that she lent the tent to them and food enough for them...so they start searching for an opponent for Jounouchi, while doing so, a pair of duelists are watching them, discussing about the group noticing two of them are duelists and recognise Yugi right away, so they feel a bit cautious and decide to tell someone called Keith then later to be Keith Howard who lost to Pegasus, who have been helping 3 duelists in winning bit by bit with the star chips, so they plan to target Jounouchi whom they sharply perceived as a beginner, they wait for an opportunity when Jounouchi separates from the gang separately for a little, the chance comes when Jounouchi needs to do his bathroom needs, poor guy. when he finished...the pair targeting him kidnaps him and drags him to a cave (at least they waited for him finish it), inside the Simulation Battle Box with graveyard field and "Ghost"Kozuka gives a creepy greeting for their duel, Jounouchi passes out (due his huge fear towards occult and graveyard stuff xD), the ones present find amusingly funny then Keith orders one of them to wake him up, by slapping him, Jounouchi gets irritated then realises where he is and gets a little scared but tries to keep his cool...
As the duel is about to start, the gang gets worried because he has been too long for someone who went to fill bathroom needs, they begin looking for him, the duel seems to be Jounouchi is the one in the lead while his opponent follows strange instructions by Bandit Keith, later to be revealed to be a bigger scale strategy that turns the tables, the gang not having much success in finding him but Yugi sensed he was in trouble, Dark Yugi takes over and tries to focus on the puzzle and gain a clue of where he is with a vision and telepathically talks with him to not give up, but Jounouchi keeps trying until find the right card that can help him and win the duel, the gang find Jounouchi who just won the duel.

Key Points:

image.png image.png
image.png

The man who comes to welcome Kaiba's arrival is most likely Pegasus's buttler or steward named Mr. Crocketts, I'll call him Croquet out of spite, Kaiba demands to get to Pegasus immediately and inform them that he knows Mokuba was kidnapped by them, but Croquet keeps pretending he doesn't know anything, talk about irritating manipulation, I don't censor Kaiba getting more irritated...
But I find one of the details in this attempt of Croquet in doing small talk with Kaiba (which seems Kaiba seems to hate, I hate it too) that he was here before to celebrate completion of the Battle Simulation Box, this time around is the second time, which means Pegasus have been living here for quite some time and I don't think is his main house, because the location of the island in terms of distance between Japan and this distance is one who night, I would suspect is still part of Japan since this country has other smaller island around the main one, we could assume the castle is some vacation castle house that Pegasus owns...

 image.png image.png
image.png

So he guides to the main entance but is locked with a special lock, which is strange, in fact is kinda weird, even Kaiba thinks so, you can only enter unless you have 10 star chips, so only the participants meeting the requirements can enter, it's at least quite safe  and the little manipulation games continues...
I don't censor Kaiba finding manipulation very annoying, in a whole storyline is even more annoying, I really don't like Croquet who's enjoying this, that grin won't last for long...

I have some bad news

Remember 2 posts prior I said I would scan the digital version as I buy it?
Well, I won't be able to because being european, doesn't allow me to access it, also the credit card I use is VISA Electron, I tried Kindle version but is US only, even if I wanted the UK ones (which has the first 7 volumes), it is still UK only. Through paypal it comes to a similar problem with the VISA Electron.
I think this is very unfair to be honest, I was about to buy it.
I won't be able to scan it anymore ( as I've said before I don't want to scan my printed versions copies, and damages a little bit and bit loose, 4 pages of Volume 8 is loose and was ironically Pegasus's death scene), unless it's specific pages to approach certain scenes, but I will still keep writing my interpretations and observations of the manga series.

However I can give you a nice download source:
http://ygomangadatabase.dreamwidth.org/

This is someone who collected over the years, so there is some nice quality and low quality, but still readable.
for anyone in US and CA, you can buy it, in Nook, the digital version is cheaper than amazon by the way, and there is NOOK for PC and tablet, if you do, it would be nice of you to scan it.

for anyone who have read the manga through the source I gave you, but want to reread again, buy the printed version or digital version...
I think is such a shame such a good manga not having better quality in scans, I wish I could continue scanning the printed version, but I can't, I have all 38 volumes, I was able to buy them at a one-of-lifetime chances from 1 month of internship money in a course I was in, I don't get this chances often, best 255€ I ever spent ( I received 670€ btw), so I want them to endure and alot...
digital versions you don't have to worry about damaging the pages or anything, if I could buy it, I would buy it as well.
So I'm sorry I can help you, but the scans in YGO Media will remain though...

next post will be the continuation of thoughts and observations...

Thoughts&Observations | Mangá Vol.8-11 Part 10 (Duelist's Pride Pt.1 and Kaiba Arrival)

It is as the title suggests, I will touch upon something that bothers me, it is not the writing, but the subject in itself regarding Duelist's Pride or what it means being a True Duelist, that makes me think and make questions about this, that is discussed a little in the series between the characters, specially those who are regular players.

Plot Summary:

Pegasus and the Big Five just got reported that Kaiba came out of coma and well, charging to Pegasus's island, they are very upset about this news and Pegasus tries to calm them down claiming he has everything prepared...
Dark Yugi left the battle box with the player killer of "darkness" staying still in shock through his penalty game, Dark Yugi tries to give to Mai her star chips, in the beginning she refuses based on her pride and leave the island, the rest of the gang hears their conversation and they try to convince her to accept the star chips while also implying they're friends then Jounouchi in his way of helping in making her accept her star chips back...she was moved by all their gestures and she promises she will get back the star chips she owes to Dark Yugi so she can earn the "right" to duel against him.
A helicopter crossing the ocean with Kaiba inside with a bodyguard and pilot, he discuss about the recent reports and events, feeling extremely determined in saving Mokuba and starts to realise they are going around circles, the "bodyguard" noticing Kaiba knowing there is traitors in the helicopter, he tries to kill Kaiba but in vain, since Kaiba was able to turn his favour with card and pick up the gun and tells them to jump to the sea and goes to Pegasus island.
They try to go to sleep but are interrupted three times, first Honda gets a scare for a vine falling from a tree by confusing with a snake and confessing his fear over snakes, reptiles and anything with a slippery skin, the second time was Ryou's Millennium Ring acting strange which was reacting to the presence of the Millennium Eye in the castle, the boys freak out for knowingly is a very dangerous Millennium item with a evil spirit inside, Ryou Bakura reveals the other reason of why he came along besides supporting and helping his friends and having to do with the millennium items...the last time they are interrupted is Kaiba arriving to the island, there is a conversation between them as Yugi gives Kaiba's deck back, Jounouchi challenges Kaiba to duel, but he accepts under one condition using his prototype duel disk on standard mode, Kaiba wins against Jounouchi with ease, Jounouchi is feeling very depressed as Kaiba insults him, Anzu not taking it anymore speaks her mind then almost followed by Ryou mentioning Jounouchi's sister which stuck in her mind... Yugi calls him out  if Kaiba had changed at all, but then he responds is not that simple for him and brings Pegasus, the duel he watched... a duel he won without fighting against Bandit Keith (a card professor) under conditions being broadcasted on tv and a prize of 1 million dollars, the time came and started with Pegasus teaching kids to play the kid and gives a deck to a kid called Tom, when the duel start, Pegasus made his "mind scan" on Bandit Keith, he wrote instructions in how to beat Keith, he called the kid called Tom and duel for him by following the instructions on the paper he has given to him...the kid wins, Keith is in shock and check the piece of paper with the instructions, after the duel and Pegasus finished talking with Kaiba and came to congratulate the kid as chance to promote his card game.

Key Points:

image.png image.png
image.png

So Pegasus is informed that Kaiba had awaken from coma and is heading to Pegasus's island and video chatting with his associates, "Big Five", from anyone who watched the series whether was subbed or dubbed, knows who they are, they are kinda important but wasn't never mentioned in the manga after the Duelist Kingdom, even though they appeared quite often in the anime with their own story arcs (The virtual RPG game of Duel Monsters and Noa's Virtual World Arc).
Pegasus certainly is insistent with the plan, the question is why? He has plenty of money and still gains a lot from Duel Monsters according to Player Killer of Darkness, so why? It can't be just the money but something else? it will reveal itself as we advance in the story.
But the "Oh No!" and "What a mess!", makes me wonder if is acting or serious, I think it's mostly serious because later just like them, he would prefer Kaiba to be dead, which is insanely disrespectful and even after kidnapping Mokuba.

Thoughts&Observations | Mangá Vol.8-11 Part 9 ("Dark Yugi" VS Player Killer "Darkness")

Mangá Vol.8-11 (Yu-Gi-Oh Duelist 1-3)

This will focus more on the duel between these 2 bellow, specifically "Dark Yugi".

Update (03/08/2018): for a change, it has finally an introduction, now it seems will be maybe lighter...but due to recent events and I haven't been well focused on these updates as much as I'd wish to...😕

Plot Summary:

Dark Yugi accepts the duel (more like ordered to) by the player killer clown face guy, they sit down and the player killer introduces himself as Player Killer of "Darkness (so lame 😑), explains the whole situation about the tournament, the duel starts, the player killer duelling style he uses the night as where part of the field can be darkness which can favours his monsters cards attribute being of darkness, therefore gets special advantage in hiding in the darkness, player killers is feeling overconfident, Dark Yugi is the same but not to the point of bragging like the player killer does, Dark Yugi is more or less testing the waters first until he figure out in how to beat him and claims he will win in 5 turns, he does achieves it but not just with card skills and confidence like he usually does...

Key Points:

image.png image.png

As usual "Dark Yugi" accepts the challenge specially against those who cross the line when it comes hurting his friends or whose he does respects, Kujaku Mai.
I know these panels in particular aren't important, but I like the sense of movement in Dark Yugi's bangs when he is taking over from how was drawn, which is something I have always found curious, Yugi grows 1 to 3 cm and more golden hair and the hair gets bigger too, Yugi's eye shape changes a little, we know is the spirit of the millennium puzzle taking over, so these physical changes in Yugi's body when Dark Yugi takes over, obviously is from the magic of the millennium puzzle to emphasise Dark Yugi isn't "other yugi" but someone else entirely (it is obvious).

image.png image.png

According to the panels of this panels ensembles, it reveals that Pegasus has hired assassin duelists to quickly annihilates the participants to decrease from 80 stars chips to 40, so it can have 4 finalists, this tournament is already rigged, wait there is more...
That is it's true purpose for the tournament being rigged is to force Dark Yugi on an official match with Pegasus so he could win against Dark Yugi and get Kaiba Corp, poor Yugi and "Dark Yugi" forcefully involved in this mess,  and there is still more...

image.png image.png

That's pretty much it, Pegasus besides being a terrible a tournament host, in fact in how terrible of  tournament host he is in not providing basic needs like food, bunk beds or sleeping bags, the ones who all star ships leaves the island on boat instead of the same ship they came from, he doesn't give the impression he is stingy at all...
Thanks player killer of "Darkness" for being captain obvious, no one realised that at all 😒, as for prize money, like I have said before, this tournament is rigged by the host himself and he is pretty lazy to give the prize and send player killers if they defeat Dark Yugi or Yugi first then is the other contestants so that more skilled players arise...all because so he doesn't have to give the prize money to whoever reaches 1st place even though he can easily give it...

Watching Yu-Gi-Oh! GX - (Episodes watched: 118)_Thoughts

As you can see from the title, I have gone through half of the series over all, but still missing 62 episodes, since I watch 4 episodes each time, so how I advance is a bit steady at a time I feel comfortable to watch, so it can be sometimes very slow...

So far from what I have seen, I must say YGO GX is the weakest, I have yet to watch Zexal fully to be sure, it's decent specially now when things are getting interesting, in other words, the series had a sloppy start with some potential, I think is ridiculous it has schools to teach how to duel as one of it's subjects.
As for plot, It's very easy to tell when the plot is moving and when isn't, the episodes that isn't are usually clear that they're fillers and they're terrible episode fillers, they are rarely funny for me and just plain irritating, silly and random...NAS writers keep increasing my hatred for you (I still hold grudge against you with the mess you did in last season of YGO 5D's)

Another thing, the dialogues, sometimes feels forceful or try too hard to make it interesting, cool and intense, even the plot doesn't runaway from this, yes, the plot, I think it can be forceful at times, but not always.
The characters are the best part of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, they have a lot of potential, but the potential is wasted many times, focusing too much on Yuki Judai, I mean, Asuka rarely duels, Sho, Kaiser, Fubuki, and many of the duelists that appears, it's later "forgotten", the only that survive, are supportive, secondary and main characters.
I think the animation is a bit lazy, it's very stagnant, it doesn't decrease quality but doesn't increase either.
I may have sounded too harsh on the series, but that's how I view, but HEY, I'm enjoying watching, it's in season 3 that I'm starting to enjoy it more...

Blog News: Some Changes in the blog and download links

Hellos!! It has been a long time since last time I have wrote here in this blog...
Busy years, one of them were games investment and small project that didn't work the way I'd wish to, so I wanna take a break on this one from games...

I'm sorry for being in a hiatus for a long time, so I'll continue where I left off.
This is when I'll announce a few changes on this blog! the download links have been changed, no need to worry about passwords downloads, must have been annoying, right? so you're downloading in cbr files.
Now the scans, it will change, from scanning my print YGO mangas, damaged them a bit, specially volume 8 duelist, so I'll change the platform... they will be digital manga from 9 and to the last volume, I don't know about Yu-Gi-Oh! R...I will see about that...
another thing, I'm finally watching Yu-Gi-Oh! GX but subbed, I finally could find all complete japanese with english subs to download, because it was hard over the years, now I can catch up efficiently... I'm on the 3rd season, almost half way through of the season, now as for my thoughs on it so far will posted next post.
